About the Studio |

 Everything about our studio is conducive
to a great recording environment. Our four room studio is perfect for recording any type of project. From the
natural hardwood floors to the "floating" walls and ceiling hung on resilient channels. Many months of thought
by acoustical engineers and I were put into the design of our studio. Rooms that need to be symmetrical are, rooms that
don't...aren't. Every inch of the studio is not by coincidence but perfectly designed for recording.
Our recording studio services musicians from winston-salem, greensboro, high point, kernersville, and all triad area clients
in NC. We have built a reputation to be the best recording studio value in the triad, NC, and possibly in all of North
Carolina. We have built this reputation to be such a great recording studio by offering a professional atmosphere,
great service, and incredibly low rates for a great audio recording.
The control room is where it all starts. It's a room with all of our gear and a place to sit down and relax while
listening to the playback of your recording. Also a place where the engineer can mix down and master your project.
Our control room is perfectly 100% symmetrical. This is key for a control room because mixing is so key to the final
outcome. Having a symmetrical room keeps form having "nulls" and "dead tones" in the sound and results
in a pure natural mix. |
The main tracking room is where most of the recording is done. In an over 2000 cubic ft. room,
we get a nice "big room" sound for guitars, vocalists, drums, horns, acoustic pianos, and any other instrument you
can think of. Although tracking one instrument at a time is always best for recording, our main tracking room is plenty
large to have a large band to record all at the same time. unlike the control room, the tracking room is not symmetrical.
Having angles in the right places and walls that are not quite straight, you insure the sound waves don't bounce back
and forth in the same places and cause a delay in the recording. Many studios just build rooms and don't think about
these details that can cause flaws in the recording. So what if
a band wants to record all at the same time? We unlike many studios have a true Isolation booth. Don't be
fooled by studios that have online bought iso booths that are set up in their tracking rooms. Our isolation booth has
no connection at all to our tracking room to be sure there is 0% bleed into the vocal mic. With walls nearly 1ft. thick
on each side of the iso booth, we obtain true isolation. Having this allows us so many options in getting different
sounds out of different vocalists and instruments.  |
 In order to make the musicians
more comfortable, a full bathroom, lounge area, and beverages are provides for musicians and their guests. We want to
make sure your recording experience is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. |
